I found *Night Always Comes* to be a decent film. I generally enjoy this type of dark crime story, and it fits comfortably within my preferences. Vanessa Kirby gives a noteworthy performance; I’m glad she finally has a leading role in something. The movie runs for 108 minutes and contains quite a bit of action, with the atmosphere being particularly well-done. It can be irritating at times, but that seems intentional, because Doreen is incredibly frustrating – truly a gaslighter! Besides Kirby, the cast also includes Randall Park, Julia Fox, Michael Kelly, and Eli Roth. I will mention that some of the dialogue didn't quite work for me, especially when it came to Kirby’s lines. It felt awkward and out of place at times, but thankfully, her skill as an actress and the intensity of what was happening were strong enough that I quickly overlooked those problems. It's something worth pointing out, though.
