This film isn’t good, let's face it; no adaptation can truly capture what Philip K Dick wrote, and that includes something like Blade Runner. The screenplay feels carelessly written, with noticeable gaps in the story and technical issues that are hard to ignore. Despite all this, I did find it to be a diverting little escapade. Nicolas Cage is someone I always enjoy seeing on screen, and I’m happy to watch anything with Jessica Biel. It's visually striking—the movie has a grand, vibrant appearance. Not every film needs to reach the level of Shakespeare, and frankly, I’m glad they don’t.
