This western-drama feels like a mixed bag, with a few decent scenes that don’t ultimately make it memorable. The performances are also unremarkable, especially from Cusack, who seemed almost detached throughout. I can't say I disliked it, but the point being made wasn’t entirely clear to me; was the story suggesting it was acceptable for a town to be controlled by an authoritarian religious figure?
