It’s goofy entertainment. As far as science fiction (or, rather, sci-fi) films go, this one proved to be surprisingly enjoyable—provided you like movies about werewolves, cheesy horror, or sci-fi. There's a good sense of humor throughout, and it doesn’t attempt any pretense of seriousness. The performances were acceptable, the characters felt like recognizable types, the special effects weren't bad (though they weren't amazing), and ultimately, it was just entertaining. Just keep in mind that this is sci-fi, so put aside critical thinking and have a good time—there are werewolves! Lately, science fiction has become something of a "Disaster of the Week" lineup, moving away from monsters and suspenseful elements, which made seeing something like this refreshing.
