This film is simply awful and incredibly dull. While the initial installment wasn’t particularly good, it at least embraced its disturbing premise. If your goal is to watch something repulsive and startling, this might fit the bill. However, it appears this one abandons that core idea quite quickly. A significant portion of the runtime involves rather ordinary events. There's hardly any romance involving dead bodies or even many corpses appearing. Though there are a few moments intended to be disgusting, they feel disconnected and aren’t particularly intense. I might be able to overlook these shortcomings if the movie were pursuing something else—something with substance or intrigue. Instead, it feels like an enormous waste of time; as though you've been tricked by the title into watching something entirely different. And what makes matters worse is that it's remarkably mild compared to its predecessor, which leaves you questioning how things went so wrong.
