The premise blended family dynamics with a youthful celebration, which seemed promising initially, but ultimately fell short due to some unfortunate choices in who was brought on board. I've never really found myself liking Zac Efron’s work; he’s among the performers I dislike most, based on my personal preferences. This film suffered because of him, and it’s a shame since it could have been pretty good with Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne involved. They did their best to make it worthwhile, but other aspects didn't quite measure up. The combination of different actors just didn't create the cohesive experience viewers were hoping for—the intended humor wasn't really there. I’m left feeling somewhat conflicted about it; like I enjoyed parts of it, but not all of it. The conclusion suggests a possible continuation, and if that happens, I hope the central characters remain, though most of the others would need to be replaced, particularly Zac—please no more of him. 6/10
