I’m not sure exactly when I first watched Mystery Men, somewhere around 1999 or 2000, coinciding with the DVD release. My feelings about it haven't really shifted significantly over the past two decades. While there are a few amusing parts and I did laugh on occasion, generally I found the film rather uninspired, even considering the flashy final sequence that relies on effects typical of the late nineties. It’s odd because they assembled a good cast with considerable talent. **2.5/5**
