I decided to watch it because of my interest in octopuses and the ocean. The reason for the perfect score is simple: it transcended what one would expect from a standard documentary. It felt like a very intimate journey, and that impression was clear right away. Wonderful visuals combined with Foster’s personal narration and soothing music created an immediate sense of peace; I found myself completely absorbed in his perspective. From there, the film unfolded beautifully, presenting fascinating details alongside striking imagery and profound insights. The structure really appealed to me. While I often find animal documentaries relaxing, this one was unique. It resembled reading a book more than watching a film or series—an experience entirely new to me.
