It’s hard to believe Neil Simon didn't come back as Chen Yu-Hsun—though, realistically, he’s probably too old for that now. This film feels like a very charming romantic comedy straight from a Neil Simon script, incorporating elements of science fiction and some wonderfully strange, dreamlike imagery. Patty Lee is genuinely funny as the main character. The movie isn't perfect; there are some problems with how the supporting storylines are handled. I don’t think even Neil Simon himself would be entirely satisfied.
