"Mahin" (played by Lili Farhadpour) portrays a solitary, widowed nurse who has lived alone for many years, and her life takes an unexpected turn when she overhears a conversation at the government-run cafe for seniors suggesting that taxi driver "Faramarz" (Esmaeel Mehrabi) is also unattached. She quickly decides to find him, and soon enough, she's sitting in his cab. Neither person fits into stereotypical molds; they’re simply two older individuals who respond positively to the possibility of something a little “extra” at the close of their day. A large bottle of wine appears, and it seems clear what will happen next. However, things don’t proceed as anticipated—subtle hints are provided throughout the story's playful development so that viewers can anticipate this. Farhadpour is captivating as she wins over her new romantic interest, and there's a gentle connection between them as much of the narrative unfolds in her home. They take precautions to avoid the morality police, who could potentially intervene and penalize them for being alone together, even given their age. The film also succeeds by presenting significant themes with a light touch. It addresses issues related to aging and preconceptions about older people, but it expands its scope to examine a society that still restricts women's freedom compared to men. Above all, the movie is genuinely amusing, conveying a sense of self-assurance, timidity, hopefulness, and humor, particularly toward the conclusion. I’m not certain the events could have transpired as quickly as shown, but it certainly appeared appealing!
