Rashid (played by James Floyd) possesses qualities that his younger brother, Mo (Fady Elsayed), desires: he’s attractive, personable, and enjoys a comfortable existence with a girlfriend and some money. Rashid is protective of Mo and wants to shield him from the source of his own income—something he's determined to keep secret. Predictably, this doesn’t always sit well with Mo, who decides to tail his seemingly stylish brother, suspecting a romantic encounter. He wasn’t entirely wrong in his assumption, but he isn’t prepared for what he uncovers. Meanwhile, Rashid intends to complete one last task before leaving the area, hoping it will keep his brother away from his risky lifestyle. The initial scenes feel familiar—filled with common phrases like "bro" and "fam"—and typical of a London gang drama. However, as the two central characters develop, the narrative shifts into an exploration of the younger man’s ambitions and biases, while Rashid finds himself experiencing unexpected feelings. Both Floyd and Elsayed give strong performances as the story progresses, but the ending feels muddled, somewhat hurried, and lacks the strength of its initial ideas. Despite this, Sally El Hosaini has created a respectable film that tackles sensitive subjects within the community of young Egyptian men in the UK, making it worthy of viewing.
