_Accion Mutante_ is strange, even considering the work of Alex de la Iglesia. The movie contains a lot of violence and feels unstable, culminating in a final sequence filled with characters firing oversized and improbable weapons. It has a rough, grainy aesthetic, reminiscent of a low-budget horror classic like _Evil Dead_. While _Accion Mutante_ is an unfocused and disordered science fiction film and an equally clumsy attempt at humor, it’s still worthwhile to see for its over-the-top and combined vision of the future.
