This was a genuinely enjoyable experience featuring the Duke. In this installment, he ("Clint") finds himself wrongly accused of killing his girlfriend "Judy" (Susan Fleming)’s father after being openly denied access to their ranch. With the sheriff—and top-billed actor—Buck Jones (“Buck,” naturally) taking him into custody, they have to locate the real killer before the cowboy faces a swift execution. The outcome is predictable, but that hardly matters; it’s still a briskly moving story with ample action sequences and a small group of performers who maintain a tight focus on the narrative. It may not be among the finest of the star's lesser-budgeted films, yet it remains an agreeable adventure for about sixty minutes.
