I’m really blown away by this one, with some seriously impressive visual effects. As far as I know, it's the first film of its kind drawing from Thai folklore. There’s a palpable sense of suffering coming from the characters who are trapped and abandoned by those who should be helping them. It's a fantastic monster movie; they managed to create believable depictions of what these creatures might appear like given their size in the story. [spoiler] Anime enthusiasts will likely appreciate the homunculus effects displayed when our creatures take on human forms. [spoiler]
