A group of young adults in England gather at a remote vacation home, summoned by someone they believed had passed away, roughly a year after finishing high school. Feelings of regret prompt their attendance, alongside other guests, but a figure concealed within an oversized bunny mask begins eliminating them. The central question is whether anyone will manage to escape the danger. "Easter Bunny Massacre" (2021) is a British slasher film made on a small budget and featuring performers who aren't widely known. It draws inspiration from films like “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and "I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer," but the action takes place in a secluded cabin setting. Having been favorably impressed by the director’s earlier work, I chose to watch this one. While the production values are somewhat diminished—likely because much of the film was recorded inside—the acting and writing are generally solid, despite a few predictable moments. The soundtrack establishes an atmosphere that evokes the song “A Deeper Kind of Slumber” from 1997. I found it interesting how the filmmakers maintained a sense of seriousness even with a killer dressed in a bunny mask covered in blood. However, I did find myself questioning how this character could move so silently while wearing such an unwieldy disguise; wouldn't clear vision and hearing be necessary for his actions? The actresses are noteworthy, particularly Sarah T. Cohen as Janey, May Kelly as Amy, and Antonia Whillans as Heather.
