The film feels like two separate projects, with varying degrees of success. What stands out favorably is the production itself—the setting, visual style, and overall aesthetic are quite striking. Given what must have been a limited financial investment, the filmmakers made excellent use of the surrounding environment, capturing light and shadow to establish the movie’s atmosphere. Unfortunately, the narrative struggles to live up to this initial promise. The plot revolves around locating the Empress's daughter, who disappeared following her people’s defeat at the hands of the "Lothos." This search brings two previously distant brothers, "Marco" (Hector Escudero Lobe) and "Silas" (Arturo Lizardi), back together, but what follows isn’t particularly exciting in terms of action or adventure. The script feels overly verbose—some performances are hampered by exaggerated accents—and the political maneuvering is poorly executed. There were also moments where the timeline shifted abruptly, making it hard to keep track of events. It has the feel of a short story that was expanded beyond its natural length; extending it close to one hundred minutes proved challenging for everyone involved. While the atmosphere might be worth experiencing, that’s really the best that can be said for it.
