DrMarty on Without a Stitch

· Nov 8, 2012

A Scandinavian woman, Ana-Grete Nissen, worries about her lack of sexual desire and seeks help from a young doctor. He suggests an unusual and unprofessional method to address this, which ultimately provides her with some pleasure. Following this, he advises that she should continue investigating her sexuality on a journey where she is encouraged to have encounters with various people. This results in numerous depictions of heterosexual, lesbian, and group sexual activity, including one notably funny scene involving S-and-M practices. While the number of these scenes feels excessive, they move along quickly, making this film somewhat more engaging than many other similar movies from that period. Like several Swedish actresses of the 1970s, Nissen is attractive because she appears to be an ordinary woman, in contrast to the frequently seen performers in American softcore films of that time—and it’s clear she's a genuine person rather than someone enhanced with silicone, unlike many contemporary adult film actors.
