It’s doubtful that *'Oka!'* will stick with me for very long; it simply doesn't leave a lasting impression. It isn't really poor quality, but “forgettable” is probably the best way to describe it. Kris Marshall seems like an unusual choice for the role, though he manages to get through it adequately. Will Yun Lee, Isaach de Bankolé and Mapumba all contribute as well, however, I wouldn’t say there's anything particularly remarkable about the performances. The plot itself is fairly bland—I didn't find myself engaged with it at all. Furthermore, I wonder if others noticed how strange the wild animals, especially the elephants, appeared; I honestly couldn’t determine whether they were created using visual effects or not. Overall, I wouldn’t suggest watching this film. I do have to say that the depictions of Central African Republic are visually appealing, though.
