It was a pleasure experiencing this film with an audience at the Nashville Film Festival. It's a delightful, funny, and endearing story about someone finding their way, echoing familiar themes of artistic inspiration—similar to "Almost Famous," but also sharing a satirical edge regarding contemporary Christian pop music, reminiscent of “Saved!” The performers are largely up-and-coming actors who deliver convincing portrayals, though there are appearances from experienced actors like Brian Baumgartner ("The Office") and Judd Nelson (“Breakfast Club”). The writing is amusing, clever, and quick, and the soundtrack perfectly captures the sound of the 80s; you’ll probably find yourself laughing at the lyrics if you listen closely. A wonderful narrative that's sincere, enjoyable, and moving—you are certain to enjoy it.
