This was a disappointing attempt at a suspense-thriller; it failed to deliver either suspense or excitement. While there are a few decent gore effects, they don't appear until roughly 50 minutes into the film’s 96-minute runtime. The main actor wasn't good, and even Crispin Glover, who appeared in the cast, only has around five minutes of screen time and doesn’t speak at all. Ultimately, it felt like a complete waste of time, especially since the plot becomes ridiculous once the perpetrators are shown, and the recurring smiley face imagery is confusing within the story's framework—apparently connected to some kind of modern spiritual water ritual. **1.0/5**
