I'm unsure if I’ve encountered another film that presents a narrative quite like this one, depicting a disturbed individual who assaults people but refrains from ending their lives, instead leaving them changed in some way. It introduces a completely unfamiliar kind of mania, which has kept me intrigued throughout the entire movie; the reason behind it appears unimportant because those targeted are left in bewildering conditions. I won’t reveal any plot points or my conclusions, but this feels like something truly different within the horror genre, considering my more than four decades of watching all kinds of horror and its various categories. It's essential viewing simply to understand why these actions occur and what ultimately happens.
