The sound of the alarm at seven in the morning kicks off what “Goofy/George” experiences every day, longing for that peaceful Sunday morning sleep-in. That is, until "Junior" feels dad has overslept, mom wants to vacuum, the phone starts ringing, and then there's the laundry, trumpet lessons – possibly even a guest coming over for lunch. It’s unlikely he’ll find any comfort in escaping into the Sunday paper! Quiet time seems impossible to come by as things keep popping up! "Junior" and the dog want a relaxed trip to the beach? Instead, it turns into being stuck in traffic with lots of other people who had similar ideas! He starts looking forward to Monday, when he'll appreciate returning to the order of work. It’s a pretty good look at the Sunday chaos that often feels like the ultimate day off for someone who works. I always find it irritating when people say "Happy Monday," but maybe they aren’t entirely wrong! Mom mostly stays out of the way, too.
