The rating of 7 might appear generous, but the film proved quite pleasurable to watch. It doesn’t present an entirely original take on romance, however, the manner in which the story develops is pleasantly done. I am glad it wasn’t excessive. Generally, the movie maintains a straightforward approach and the feelings portrayed feel appropriate for what's happening. I’ve encountered many films where supporting characters are pushed too far, but this one keeps them to a minimum, concentrating instead on Shekar, the central character, and Pia, his romantic partner. The music is genuinely good; "koi fariyaad" by Jagjit Singh stands out as excellent and appears throughout the film in segments, with lyrics that carry meaning. “Chotti chotti ratein” and “tum bin” are also appealing songs. I'd been hoping to see this movie for a while now, I finally obtained a DVD, and I encourage you to rent one if you haven’t already viewed it.
