The documentary attempts to cover the details of the police investigation into the Silk/Miller Murder case in Melbourne. However, a significant portion of its limited running time is devoted to following those responsible for the crime, without providing any real understanding of their reasons or even basic information like how they used the money they obtained illegally. _Tell Them Lucifer Was Here_ seems satisfied with simply presenting the audience with “These are awful people; notice their poor dental hygiene and harsh words,” but that isn’t enough for me. If the film couldn't explore *why* these individuals are reprehensible, it could have at least structured itself as a mystery. Instead, we're given immediate knowledge of the villains, and this approach proves ineffective. _Final rating:★★ - There were aspects I liked, but ultimately it was not well-executed._
