I have to admit, if I were in the position of ''Adam,'' I’d probably be feeling annoyed that Peter Lord put me, completely bare, on a muddy sphere in space, with just his hand appearing occasionally to try and make me act like an obedient performer—even though performers hadn't been created yet during that stage of the planet’s development. To add some interest, he gives ''Adam'' a small bag and sends him off on a journey across his world, but considering the film is only six minutes long, it probably won’t fulfill his sense of wonder. I suppose his maker thought, let's give ''Adam'' someone to interact with. He gets really enthusiastic; he puts on a bow tie and somehow finds some flowers—but is he ready for another life form to share his world? It's a straightforward claymation film that demonstrates Lord’s sculpting abilities quite nicely, but it also has some humor to move the story forward, similar to how his ''Morph'' character did on television years before. I believe hand-made animations are hard to surpass, and while this might not be the most intricate one you'll ever encounter, it is a pleasant look at what someone can achieve with clay, creativity, and a touch of biblical freedom.
