This movie is simply ridiculous and strange! "Tom" (Alexander Tsypilev) repeatedly breaks into a residence when he finds the partially nude, sleeping "Lars" (Julien Lickert). Predictably, he develops an intense interest, and when this professor leaves his house for work, "Tom" easily enters and starts to sleep in his bed and wear his clothing – you can imagine how that goes. Eventually, "Lars" becomes suspicious when his snacks disappear and his underwear vanishes until, ultimately, he wakes up to discover someone breathing down on him. Until then, there's a subtle suggestion of something erotic, but we understand there’s no real physical threat; it’s about an infatuation. Unfortunately, the final thirty minutes are unbelievable, leading to an ending that made me uncomfortable. If director Tor Iben had maintained his original vision and created a drama exploring the perils and nature of obsession, it might have been successful, but he lacked the conviction to do so, softening the story until the conclusion – some nude wrestling in mud – just elicited laughter (and not pleasantly). It’s a decent premise for a script, and you wouldn't want to throw Lickert out of bed for eating Pringles, but it begins well before deteriorating rapidly. Perhaps the film’s message is simply to ensure your locks are functioning properly?
