The plot feels overly complicated, almost to its detriment. The narrative centers around a plan to recover gold that was hidden in Germany following the Second World War, involving Richard Denning as "Frank." Frank Lovejoy ("Stan") and Mari Blanchard ("Joanie") are attempting to manipulate their target into leading them to the treasure, though “Frank” isn’t privy to their additional agenda. While there are some developments intended to maintain momentum, a significant portion of the story seems designed simply to continue itself, without providing anything particularly engaging for the viewer; it eventually loses its appeal. The acting is uninspired, and the dialogue is excessively verbose. I also found the musical score distracting. Nathan Juran, who often demonstrated skill in storytelling and visuals, doesn't deliver his best work here.
