The movie, based on the manga Fukumenkei Noise, tells an affecting story centered around music, recollections, and personal development, built upon a solid plot and steady rhythm. The acting is acceptable, and the musical choices generally work well, though certain emotional moments and the song used for the big finale don't quite hit the mark. In the end, it provides a worthwhile consideration of releasing oneself from what has passed and accepting new beginnings—a theme conveyed through music and performance.
