The narrative shares similarities with “Tom Thumb,” as “Doris” and “Roger” observe their neighbors’ fortunate experiences of having children while they themselves remain without offspring. They’ve attempted to have kids, but it requires a supernatural occurrence and a loud crash for them to discover an infant stuck in the living room rug. The dog is banished from the house, and the couple begins parenting a child who seems more inclined to consume dishes than vegetables (perhaps that's not entirely negative) and enjoys swimming in the toilet. It’s evident this child doesn’t belong with them, and his behavior leads his adoptive parents to regret ever encountering him. Fortunately, he is devising strategies for returning home... I appreciated the animation, which becomes increasingly wild and visually rich, along with the underlying message about being cautious of one's desires, culminating in a frightening conclusion for “Roger.” It’s an enjoyable experience and deserving of eight minutes of viewing time.
