Rogan and Albert stood out as my top choices among the characters; Rogan was definitely my favorite. However, I didn’t develop a strong connection with the other individuals, finding them perfectly acceptable but not particularly memorable. The narrative itself is reasonably good, and I'm happy I watched “The Taker” prior to seeing this film, although it wasn’t essential for understanding what happened. There were two aspects that felt jarring—aside from any technical issues. First, the movie seemed to simply begin without much introduction, leaving me disoriented during the opening minutes. Second, the modern-day setting was a bit off-putting. The costumes also felt inconsistent and strangely pristine considering the era depicted. Furthermore, whenever scenes were set in urban locations or showed anything contemporary, I wasn’t sure if that was intentional or not. Thinking back on it, the time travel element involving Wiglaf did provide an explanation for this. Even so, I remained perplexed about the timeline and setting because the film evokes a fantasy atmosphere. If you've made it this far without having seen the movie, I suggest you do watch it; it’s quite remarkable that they managed to create something like this. I am looking forward to seeing what WhiteShore Films does with the Everwyn universe next.
