It’s interesting to revisit this show, especially if your memories come from the original comics rather than the animated series—it can be quite bewildering. The military hierarchy also appears illogical; Duke holds a Master Sergeant rank and seems to be supervising Lieutenant Falcon. Given that Falcon is an O2 while Duke is an E8, one would expect the opposite arrangement. I wonder if it was influenced by Oliver Stone’s *Platoon*? Regardless, there's a scene with a person in a snake costume riding around on an elaborate throne and firing lasers. Consistent with the style of GI Joe cartoons, no characters perish—a decision likely stemming from the emotional impact *Transformers* had on many children. Despite these oddities, it’s genuinely an exceptional and remarkably well-made cartoon that adults can appreciate beyond simple nostalgia.
