I'm so let down by this one! I honestly couldn’t have imagined that a film with Boris Kodjoe and Kenya Moore could be this dull. It seemed impossible they would mess things up so badly as the main characters. I wasn’t anticipating anything close to an Oscar winner, of course; I figured it would be a low-budget production. But I didn't realize it would feel lifeless and have virtually no tension. The entire cast felt like their talents were squandered, which is really unfortunate. Actors like Billy Zane, Bai Ling, and Boris Kodjoe are genuinely good at what they do. The storyline just didn’t make any sense. It's hard to understand why someone would voluntarily go to prison for a crime they didn't commit. Plus, there were numerous moments that ended up being unintentionally humorous. This movie seems like a cheap imitation of "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle," or at least it's attempting to be. If you’re looking for something steamy and entertaining, skip this one entirely. But if you need help drifting off to sleep, then maybe give it a try.
