I’d give this film a perfect score, because it's truly remarkable. It was created by a Korean-American philanthropist and filmed entirely within North Korea, using the people of North Korea. Think about trying to shoot a historical war movie now inside North Korea, especially given their food shortages. There aren't any digital effects in this film; everything is authentic. You won’t find things like fake blood or computer-generated imagery—when bullets strike and bombs go off, it’s all real explosions. The narrative was certainly altered by one of the Kim leaders or another, but that actually made it more captivating to me. The obvious propaganda is apparent, which only makes it more significant. If you view this movie understanding that, I promise a very surprising experience. – Jeffery Lando from Vancouver, Canada
