“Marc” (Michael Lucas) and his friend “Robert” (Aaron Williams) are looking for a place to live, so they start checking the obituaries in the newspaper to find unoccupied apartments. "Marc" moves in with his friend "Cynthia" (Mara Hobel), and what follows is a fairly underwhelming romantic comedy about whether or not things will work out. “Marc” notices a musical neighbor, “David” (Hugh Panaro), and after sharing coffee in the stairwell, he becomes completely smitten. His new love interest already has a boyfriend, "Chuck" (Jonathan Walker), and predictably, we’re made aware from the beginning that "Robert" is secretly infatuated with his friend but doesn't know how or if to pursue it. The romantic complications and relationships have some funny moments initially, but they quickly lose their appeal, and the movie relies more and more on tired stereotypes about love, desire, frustration, references to musical theater, and a fear of commitment among young gay men. "Cynthia’s" character seems intentionally frustrating; she doesn't add anything positive to the story except to obstruct whatever plot might have existed when the film was being planned. It feels like two or three episodes of “Will and Grace” that were awkwardly combined, but without any of the humor or well-developed characters. I wouldn’t recommend it, sorry.
