I think this movie is fantastic and it’s a shame it isn't appreciated more on this site. Growing up, I watched it repeatedly, and it has genuinely influenced who I am. If it had better ratings, maybe my wife would give it a chance and actually grasp what it's about! I consider myself to be quite eccentric, I really do. It’s similar to Beauty and the Beast, but feels more genuine. More grounded in reality. More relevant to our times. This film captures the current state of global politics and economics, and I’m frustrated that not enough people recognize that. I'm so angry! I don’t know much about how the movie was made, other than it ended up being watched in a home where religion is very important. That shouldn't be taken as a criticism; this is exactly where the film should be seen! Who could possibly be more of a beast than the pope? And yet, what sillier argument could there be than to suggest that the leader of Christianity is inherently opposed to Christ himself? Use your heads, people. With that said, I’m leaving this site, hoping my review will somehow make the film more understandable to those who haven't connected with it—people who just don't get me.
