The film begins with Cornforth, played by Griffiths Jones, finding himself inexplicably awake and dressed in a peculiar house located far from anywhere familiar. He can't recall how he arrived there, nor can he explain the presence of a firearm or, more disturbingly, a dead body within the kitchen. His bewilderment is compounded when two backpackers—Jean (Patricia Laffan) and Marian (Maya Koumani)—arrive looking drenched by rain. Upon learning his secret, they attempt to leave but are stopped by their confused host. The story then unfolds as a rather silly murder mystery that takes Cornforth and a now-believing Jean back to London, where they try to unravel this increasingly improbable puzzle. It becomes fairly apparent—once the action shifts to a more conventional setting with actors like Bruce Seton and James Kenney—who committed the crime, even though the reason behind it remains unclear until near the very end. While not terrible, it's evident that everyone involved treated it as just another assignment, featuring a lackluster script and equally unexceptional acting that occupies about an hour of your time without leaving any lasting impression.
