This movie is terrible – it’s got the hallmarks of a low-budget production, with acting and special effects reminiscent of an old "Dr. Who" serial from the early 1960s. However, I can't say it's the absolute worst sci-fi film involving creatures from space that I’ve encountered. The basic story involves something landing on Earth and connecting itself to a pair of people who have to remain awake to survive. Fueled by caffeine and stimulants, they barricade themselves in an office while authorities attempt to find a solution. It becomes a countdown, complicated by the constant urge to sleep... Ralph Meeker isn’t bad, but the confined setting just highlights the weak script and generally forgettable actors – with the possible exception of "Hank" (George Flower), who is genuinely quite clueless. The film really doesn't move forward until the very last moments… It’s simply dull.
