This crime story surpasses what you typically find, and there’s something distinctive – and welcome – about seeing Donald Wolfit in a role different from his usual stage presence. A police officer working undercover moves into a house occupied by a family believed to be connected to several jewelry thefts. The patriarch, "Henry," portrayed by Felix Aylmer, is instantly wary as the officer attempts to gain their trust, leading to a tense back-and-forth where it seems nearly everyone might be involved. It’s concise and enjoyable, with solid acting that keeps everything on track.
