The Superman films produced by Paramount were a collection of movies spanning from 1941 to 1943. The initial film in the series premiered in theaters on September 26, 1941, with the final installment of the seventeen released on July 30, 1943. While considered a series, it wasn't presented as a television program. It held the distinction of being the highest-budgeted animated film series ever made, and some still maintain that this is true when adjusted for inflation. The animation quality was quite good given the time period and generally well-received by audiences. These films are a worthwhile collection to preserve the evolving story and character known as Superman.
