This espionage film feels disappointingly ordinary, centering on Robert Cummings as a man falsely suspected of involvement in a factory fire. He evades capture while pursuing a group of influential individuals across the country, who are revealed to be part of a subversive movement. Priscilla Lane plays the initially doubtful companion assisting him as they attempt to expose Otto Kruger and his associates’ treasonous activities. The narrative suffers from a predictable quality; it lacks genuine suspense, and the acting feels rather lifeless—particularly the subplot involving a circus performance. It's acceptable for viewing, but unlikely to leave a lasting impression, I must say.
