It seems like serial killer films are everywhere these days; they appear constantly. This one, from director Michael Feifer, simply feels unoriginal, as if it’s just going through the motions to reiterate a point that's been explored countless times. It doesn't help that Henry Lee Lucas was already portrayed exceptionally well in grainy detail by John McNaughton’s 1990 film, Henry: Portrait OF A Serial Killer, which is noticeably better than this one across the board. The actors deliver decent performances—Antonio Sabato Jr. as Henry brings a brooding and nervous energy to his role, while Kostas Sommer's portrayal of Ottis captures a sense of extreme madness—but ultimately the movie doesn’t accomplish much. It deserves some credit for sticking fairly closely to the known facts surrounding the case. 4/10
