It's a respectable film, especially considering it’s from a first-time director. As many of the favorable assessments point out, the movie fulfills its promise—it’s an entirely enjoyable and lighthearted experience. Those seeking narrative coherence will likely be disappointed, but for unrestrained amusement, this is precisely what you should watch. The production values weren't particularly impressive; several scenes have a dated feel reminiscent of the 90s, though not because of musical cues or the rural setting. The acting was strong, and technically sound, built around a straightforward plot with an expected resolution. It reminded me somewhat of 'Someone Marry Barry,' although I don’t believe there's any real connection between them—but those who have seen that film will understand exactly what is meant by “Barry.” This movie features three characters mirroring that concept, pitted against Vasu, our central character. The story follows how he and his romantic interest, Deepika, endure trials from these antagonists, consistently delivering laughs. VTV Ganesh’s performance was also quite memorable. His role as a slightly older figure offering guidance to the younger characters added considerable value to the film and enhanced the overall enjoyment. This is arguably Vaibhav's finest work so far; he demonstrates his capability in leading roles and pleasantly surprised me. Karunakaran continues to build a catalog of successful comedic appearances. It’s a worthwhile movie, accessible not just to those familiar with the language but also to anyone who appreciates comedy thanks to its universal themes that lend themselves well to subtitles. 7/10
