Ucha Dar Baba Nanak Da, featuring Gurdas Mann and Priti Sapru, remains my all-time favorite movie. It’s a moving story centered on the relationship between two families, depicting their conflict and eventual reconciliation. A significant plot point involves Gurdas Mann temporarily losing his voice, which is later restored near the film's conclusion, allowing him and his new wife to return home where everyone celebrates together; the soundtrack is also excellent. I saw this movie some time back, and I feel it’s something that really should be seen by anyone interested in Punjabi cinema. The filmmaking itself is solid—the direction, narrative, costumes, and performances are all commendable, resulting in a polished production. Those who haven't experienced it have overlooked a truly worthwhile film. Interestingly, this was Sharat Saxena’s debut and final appearance in a Punjabi movie.
