Certain movies openly present themselves as being straightforward about what they offer. And I don't necessarily find fault with that approach. This one, however, suggests it’s something it isn’t. Ideally, you might anticipate something akin to The Girlfriend Experience, but at the very least, Student Services; the worst-case scenario would be a film comparable to Pretty Woman or 50 Shades. The reality falls far short of those expectations. Instead, what's delivered is an awful screenplay further damaged by poor performances from the cast. Perhaps it was marketed under false pretenses as a way to mislead viewers. Or possibly the filmmakers were aware of the film’s shortcomings. Regardless of the reason, this movie seemed to believe it was superior to its actual quality and lacked the necessary skill to pull off an irritatingly pretentious presentation. Essentially, it's a low-quality production attempting to imitate something more sophisticated.
