Torin Thatcher really made an impression with his portrayal of the grumpy, eye-patch sporting "Sir James," a knight instructed by the Earl of Mackwith (Herbert Marshall) to mold the unsophisticated Tony Curtis ("Myles") into a respectable squire. It doesn’t take long before it becomes clear that they are all entangled in a scheme intended to assassinate King Henry IV—a plan orchestrated by the villainous "Earl of Alban" (David Farrar). Janet Leigh plays the spirited daughter of "Mackwith," and when they learn Curtis is actually a knight who lost his status, due to Farrar’s past actions against his father, the conflict begins. Dan O'Herlihy delivers an acceptable performance as the frequently intoxicated Prince Hal, and there's enough sword fighting and action to hold your attention for roughly ninety minutes in this vibrant historical story.
