The film finds "Magoo" at a second-hand car dealership where he’s quickly taken advantage of by the proprietor, ending up with a supposedly “electric” vehicle that proves difficult to maneuver, particularly when trying to shift out of reverse! Throughout this ordeal, "Waldo" is visibly frightened in the backseat, thankfully shielded by a hat. The narrative then shifts, introducing an underwater sequence featuring fish and the sudden appearance of old Spanish ships, sharks, and seaweed. While "Magoo" praises the beauty of his surroundings, a seal attempts to pass by, prompting him to carelessly open the car door. The trouble doesn't stop there, as he subsequently draws the attention of law enforcement. There’s at least a fleeting moment of amusement in that sequence. I’ve never found myself particularly amused by this nearsighted character and his artificial situations, and this installment didn't alter my perspective on that. The animation quality is acceptable, and while the plot does permit a wide range of plants and animals to be showcased, it remains unremarkable.
