This feels less like a movie and more like a promotional video showcasing the skill of the musicians in MGM's orchestra. The packaging indicates they are performing the overture from Otto Nicolai’s operatic version of Shakespeare’s comedy. While the filming is fairly conventional, it works well enough that you could almost listen to it without watching, but there’s an undeniable sense of quality and care put into this presentation, especially with how much attention is given to the woodwinds throughout its eight-minute length. I did notice that only two women were visible in the orchestra, both playing violin; beyond that, it's not a particularly memorable film.
