The movie feels somewhat awkward, centering around a group of schoolboys for whom musical training takes precedence over traditional studies. Under the guidance of their instructor, Bob Mitchell, these students perform several numbers while appearing very aware of the cameras recording them. Even when performing upbeat songs, there’s an almost forced smile on each boy's face, and the celebratory meal they share at the film’s close—presented as a scouting feast—simply appeared to be sausages on sticks. It aims for a pleasant, high-pitched vibe about friendship and the pleasure of singing together, but it's unlikely to stick with you once it’s over, unless you happened to be one of the participants.
