The promises made about this story involving fast-paced action aboard a train ultimately fall short. "The Phantom Robber" steals a large quantity of jewelry while traveling on the "Midnight Limited," prompting Dusty King & Marjorie Reynolds to pursue him. The situation escalates into more aggressive confrontations as they intensify their efforts to catch the thief, but not at a tempo that holds my attention. Despite its brief length of just one hour, the film suffers from an excess of dull conversations delivered by a rather unremarkable group of performers and a scarcity of genuine excitement.
