It’s a reasonably good crime story that opens with what appears to be a burglary gone wrong, only to reveal the person killed was an insurance investigator. "Hastings" (William Lundigan) is then sent to Mexico to determine the circumstances surrounding his death. As he attempts to uncover the truth, he meets the sister of the deceased man. "Victoria" (Jacqueline White) is also looking for her brother. The reasons behind her search are unclear – he seems like a rather unpleasant individual – but they connect and quickly become involved in pursuing what’s clearly the film's main antagonist. This movie is likely significant mainly because Robert Wise was involved, but it moves along at a brisk pace. While the storyline adheres to familiar patterns, White delivers an energetic performance, and the film manages to entertain for about an hour.
